A royal mission to the Commonwealth Games
As part of the wider creative for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony, I was tasked with developing the arrival of Their Majesties, the King and Queen. The idea celebrated one of Scotland’s most globally loved pop-culture icons, Doctor Who, with Chris Hoy and Greg McHugh using the TARDIS to deliver Their Majesties to the Games. A comedic series of misadventures, a cameo from beloved Scottish Doctor Sylvester McCoy, and the TARDIS itself revealed live on stage culminated in a moment that made headlines around the world.
